Federal AI Readiness

Architecture review for federal AI deployments.

60 minutes with a BaileyFinch principal engineer. A written architectural review framed for ATO defensibility, IL-level deployment posture, audit-trail requirements, and contracting alignment. Delivered within 5 business days. No charge.

  • 60-minute working session with a BaileyFinch principal engineer
  • Live review of architecture, state model, gates, and observability with compliance posture overlaid
  • Written summary addressing ATO defensibility, deployment boundary, and audit-trail requirements
  • Direct read on whether the system survives the compliance review

We review every request within 24 hours. Submissions handled by a BaileyFinch principal engineer, not a sales queue.

No charge. NDAs accepted, federal and commercial.

What we cover

Six dimensions in 60 minutes, with the compliance overlay built in.

01

Architecture & boundary control

Graph topology, state transitions, and where the deployment boundary cuts the system. What stays inside the enclave, what crosses it, and what the architecture says about cross-domain data movement.

02

State & durability

Checkpoints, persistence, replay. Whether the system can resume after a failure inside an airgapped or constrained enclave. How state is partitioned by sensitivity level.

03

Audit trail & observability

Traces, logs, decision rationale, replayability. The artifact a security or compliance reviewer needs in order to sign off on autonomous operation inside a regulated environment.

04

Gates & sensitivity enforcement

Schema validation, allow-lists, data sensitivity gates, classification enforcement, kill switches. The deterministic safety net inside the graph, not the human review on every step.

05

Framework & dependency footprint

LangGraph and LangChain are powerful and they ship a lot of transitive dependencies. We assess what the footprint looks like for hardened environments and where raw SDKs are the better answer.

06

Deployment path & ATO defensibility

Environment, monitoring, rollback strategy, the artifacts your security team will ask for. We are direct about whether the current architecture defends in front of an authorizing official.

Who this is for

Three federal situations where 60 minutes is worth your time.

Federal AI program leads moving toward ATO.

You have a working AI system and you need an independent architectural read before the security review. The audit produces written artifacts your team can hand to the authorizing official.

Defense primes scoping a capability response.

You are putting together a response that depends on AI capability you do not own end to end. The audit gives you an architecture you can defend in a technical evaluation and a teaming option if you need a sub.

Agency CTOs evaluating an inherited system or vendor.

You did not architect what is in front of you. You need a defensible technical position on whether to invest, replace, or restart. The 60 minutes plus the written summary gives you the basis for that decision.

Why BaileyFinch

Built by federal engineers for the environments that punish lazy architecture.

BaileyFinch is an SBA-Certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business. Our founder is a US Air Force veteran. Our principal engineers have shipped AI inside DoD components, civilian agencies, and defense primes, under classified and unclassified deployment conditions. Cleared personnel are available on the team. We discuss specifics under NDA.

We build on LangGraph for control flow and LangChain for components. We drop to raw SDKs when the dependency footprint is the problem. We will tell you when an agent is the wrong architecture for a regulated environment and when a deterministic pipeline carries less compliance risk for the same outcome.

Questions

Direct answers.

What does the readiness review cost?

Nothing. The 60-minute session and the written architectural summary are at no charge.

What contracting paths can we engage you through?

Multiple. We respond as a direct subcontractor through primes, through agency-specific paths, and through commercial vehicles where appropriate. Tell us the path you are working and we will tell you if we can reach you on it.

Do you have cleared personnel?

Cleared personnel are available on the team. We discuss specific clearance levels and personnel under NDA, not publicly.

Will you sign an NDA?

Yes. We will sign agency NDAs, prime NDAs, or use our standard mutual NDA. Send it with the request and we will return it executed.

What about classified architecture review?

The standard readiness review is unclassified. For classified architecture review, we scope a separate engagement under appropriate facilities and access controls.

Is there a follow-up obligation?

No. The written deliverable stands on its own and is yours to use. If there is a teaming or contracting fit, we will say so directly. If there is not, we will say that too.

Send us the program. We will tell you what survives the compliance review.

One form. One conversation. One written summary. No follow-up sequence.
